Talking Head on a Table Illusion for your Haunted House
Well, this is really incredible. Imagine this: Haunted house visitors pass around a table with a head as an attraction. As they start to walk away from the table, its eye suddenly open with head roaring at the spectators. When it is closely examined, you can’t see anything under the table.
This table illusion is made up by two mirrors. As the visitors walks away and look under the table, they do not see the man under the table, as they will only see the mirror image of the walls around the table. The explanation for this is the two mirrors fixed to three of the legs of the table. For the illusion to work, the mirrors need to extend from the base of the tabletop throughout the floor and need to be sufficiently wide to go from leg to leg without gaps between them and the legs. The ghost needs to sit under the table (out of sight, hidden behind the mirrors), with his head out through the hole of the table. To properly hide the hole in the table, cut out a platter to perfectly fit around the neck of the ghost. It is essential for the walls surrounding the table to be black (paint them or just use black sheets). That will ensure that nobody will detect that this is just an illusion.
Another version of this effect includes a person’s torso and just the head, sticking out of the hole of the table.

What are the dimensions of the mirrors?!

The 2 mirrors run at an angle from the top of the table to the floor, and from leg to leg. So the size of the two mirrors needed would all depend on the size of the table that you have.
Have a great Halloween.
