Amazing Secrets of A Floating Mask Room for Your Haunted House
Arrangement
The room should be big enough to allow five or more people to fit inside and have some space left between where the group of people is supposed to stand and the other side of the room.
Make sure that you create an obstacle between the side of the room and where people will walk as visitors sometimes cling to walls when they are scared.
Once all outside light is blocked out and you put the fabric onto the wall you can set up the black light. To achieve the best effect the light should hang in the middle of the room but if that’s not possible you should try to get an angle away from the position of the performers.
Using the fishing line you can hang the masks around the room, using two lines will ensure that they don’t rotate. When setting up the masks make sure that they all face in the direction where the guests will be located and that they are around head height. Use the rest of the black fabric to create costumes for the performers and give them the masks while making sure that they can see. Instruct them to wait for the guests to come close and then jump forward.
If the room is dark enough all the masks will look the same, especially if there is some wind to make the masks move a bit. The performer should look like the other masks and should blend in nicely with the rest of the room until they leap forward to scare the guests.
