Amazing Secrets of A Floating Mask Room for Your Haunted House
If you don’t have the time or money to create a full featured haunted house for Halloween something to consider is making a floating mask room.
Making a floating mask room is relatively simple and doesn’t require many materials. If the room isn’t completely dark you can use black plastic to block out light and help the performer(s) hide. One wall in the room will have to be covered with a black fabric. When you get the fabric make sure that you have enough to cover everything that needs to be covered. You will need another ten to 20 feet of the same fabric to create a costume.
For the lighting you will need a black light bulb, if you don’t have one avoid buying ordinary light bulbs that are advertised as black lights because they are usually just normal light bulbs with purple coloring and they won’t produce the desired light required for the floating mask room, to get the best effect you should try getting fluorescent lights.
To create the effect of floating masks you will need some fishing line and a few white masks that glow in the dark. You can get cheap hockey masks at My Halloween Store that give the desired effect but any mask that glows under black light will work fine.
