Trick-or-treating protection tips for your children:
- Stay away from dimly-lit streets and parks;
- Never disappear someplace alone, stick to a group while going to a different place;
- Have a flashlight with you and dress in reflective outfits, to make sure you are visible for motorists;
- They should not enter any unusual property or car by curiosity;
- Ensure your children are wearing a comfortable costume as they might be walking for a few hours. They have to be adequately warm as they wear their Halloween costume.
It is important to sit down and talk with your children about your expectations while they are out. Remind your children what they are not allowed to do and to stay within the side walk and not on the main road to prevent any accidents. Your children might have a mobile phone with them for you to contact them in the case of any emergency.
Halloween Party Safety Tips for Adults
Halloween costume parties are a great way to be together with your friends while you are all dressed up in different Halloween costumes. There will be plenty of delicious food and a great deal of dancing. However, parties might end poorly, so keep in mind a few things.
As the host of the Halloween party, make sure there is suitable food and drinks for all your visitors. For people with pets, place them in another room that is far from the noise and energy of your Halloween party. For people with fragile or important things, place them is a safe place. Parties might become filled with energy and some of your guests might knock down some fragile things or even step on it.
Regarding the guests of the party, they should not forget they are guest in another person’s home and thus you have to be respectful and with regards to your hosts property. Eat and drink moderately, as you don’t want the others to think you haven’t eaten all day long. If you get drunk you might do something foolish that will be remembered till next year’s Halloween costume party.
